   First Piece Finally Complete

   After much tinkering with my laser engraver, I was able to cut the scales and also design an embossing plate. Very pleased with the results

   Very Challenging! Going to be good though!

   Bought this bundle to keep me busy this winter. I really like the colors and design/stamp choices that are featured in the handful of videos on this kit, and have spent a good bit of time figuring out what they are and getting them sourced. The bundle seems a little pricey for several PDF files, but it would take you years to develop a suit to this level of maturity, and so the money is well spent. Watching the videos of the other projects have been useful, as many of the skills transfer between, but there could be a little more info provided with the patterns that would make life easier. For example, some details on how the helmet face pieces are put together. It appears that they are sewn. Also, if the videos had material sourcing information for items used, that would be handy as well. Maybe just an online repository of high-res photos would be a good start to offering clues. Other than minor challenges like these, this is a really cool project and I am hoping to complete the helmet in the next month or so. I was able to use a friend's laser cutter to make the scale skirt cutouts, which came out really well. Looking forward to more videos, particular to inform how the level of detail of the other pieces follow the helmet. If the whole suit is kept to the same level of tooling detail, this project is will be quite an investment in time and tapping, although there are a few artisans who have built this suit with minimal tooling and they are still quite impressive. Overall happy so far!

   This is a great set that builds on the previous tutorials. Adds lots of fun tooling, which is the most fun part of leatherworking (and Prince Armory has some great video details in the other sets to get up to speed). The patterns are easy to resize and assemble, and the templates have the flexibility for easy customization if you like a slightly different style.
